gud pico game.

Also, what game engine did you used to make this?

Jack responds:

gamemaker studio 2

Great game, very cool. Can make tom say "penis".

Okay, serious question: I been trying to run this on Firefox, and for a strange reason it won't work so I go to Chrome and I noticed that it needs to run Flash which was blocked as a default option. Just curious, are you planning to make it run in Ruffle or least Newgrounds Player? Really hate to see this piece of art go away when Flash meets its end-of-life.

KnoseDoge responds:

what i understands from the ruffle/newgrounds player is that it should automatically work later? not sure how it all works, it seems like it is like a container or smth.

MKMaffo responds:

Planning to convert it into as2 since 3 is not supported yet gaaah!

While I like the unique style of being parody of FNAF, one flaw that somewhat ruin it is the fact that it using Scratch which, professionally, not the greatest way to publish the game on Newgrounds. There other good game developer app you can use such like Stencyl or Game Maker which make the game have good quality instead of having small box and long loading screen.

Needless to say, I thinks this game have some potential. I like the style and the characters and simple gameplay machinic. One thing to say is, there no limitation of how long the door/power last, making it too easy.

BigSoyNG responds:

scratch is like all i know in terms of game creation but that doesn't mean i can't learn anything else so that's a valid critique as well as the power supply i'm hearin a few words about that so that could definitely be worked in. i'll probably get to work on that stuff soon.

This Visualizer is rather interesting. Like KaosuKaiari say, Visualizer is lost art as it seem more mainstream Music streaming don't do these things anymore. The music are interesting as well, but I am curious, are they royalty free music? Music from Newgrounds?

Needless to say, this Visualizer is satisfyingly.

BryceSummer responds:

The music was made by myself! It's on Newgrounds as-well too...

Thanks!

Dude, this is a fricking awesome game! I love the gameplay, the music, and the challenge of it! It does have that nostalgia feels of older browser game I used to play way back then.
There is one complaint though (it small one but can be a big one):

The game is an Adobe flash game and while it not a big deal (since Newgrounds Player exist now), Flash outside of Newgrounds (if you planning to do so) will no longer be supported and will be discontinued on all browser soon, meaning Flash will no longer exist after 2020. For this amazing game, It sad to see all work put to it be gone after Flash will be dead soon.

EGurt responds:

True. We have first standalone versions of PB2 at this point, and more will be released later next year.

We also have next version of the game getting ready to become own Flash-independent thing - it will try to be almost visually identical but really a much better engine in every possible way. What I usually say is that some stuff can and probably will be reused (like vectors for characters & weaponry, some sound effects), so nothing really a waste even if we keep updating Plazma Burst 2.

This is helpful for newcomers of Newgrounds!
Honestly, knowing my childhood website getting improvement (and not going minimal look like every website), it just gets better and better.

The music is alright, the "Endless handbag" don't loop correctly sadly.

Little-Rena responds:

Thanks! I'm not sure why it's not looping right, but I've never been good at audio management.

Nice concept for the first time game developer!
I would say the music during the gameplay can be annoying every once in while and can be repetitive in some time. But otherwise nice job!

GamerDude96 responds:

Thank you very much for your comment! I will be sure to make sure the music is not as annoying in my next PPT game.

The game is actually good! It has a challenge and part that require you to think before moving ahead. Although it is hard for a rookie who has a difficult time using an arrow key. Overall it has a good concept.

Nikkei responds:

Thank you! :3

It, not a bad game actually, but it does have some flaw.
First off, the hint is too obvious, which lost some challenge to the game.
Some are bit bland and there isn't music to make more enjoyable.
Otherwise, it has a great concept to it!

Steeelshark responds:

hints are supposed to be used if you are stuck, but thanks!

This is an amazing game ever! A lot of video game reference and a lot of creative ideas. Great Job!

PuffballsUnited responds:

Thanks!
