So I just discovered that I got featured on Krinkels Madness Day 2023 Livestream, which actually surprised me. I really appreciated it!
The biggest problem and it did indeed scare me, was the fact that the drawing I did had completely lagged his computer, almost looking like it was on the urge of crashing.
Here is the thing I do:
- All my drawings are A6 Canva size (2480x3508 pixels), resulting in high-quality artwork
- The format I use for animation is WEBP, meaning that it keeps the quality high (without compression) while keeping the file size low. (GIF tend to be very heavy and trying to resize them tend to make the drawing compressed as fuck, making the quality look worst; even worst when posting on Discord/Twitter)
- I use Firefox (don't know if that really matters but worth pointing out)
I honestly do not have any issues; The animation ran fine on my end. I don't know if this depends on how the Browser handles drawing animation or just computer specs but this does raise the question:
If you look at some of my drawing animations, does it lag often? If so, do let me know and I might end up switching to a resized GIF version in the future.
