Welp, it seem like I got unscouted for some reason. Maybe the rules I broke or user who scouted me got deleted?
Well, it was fun while it lasted for now.
So uh... how can you unscouted someone?

Aaah right, and they didn't rescout you officially... I don't think it'll be a problem to keep what art you have, but if you put out some impressive work from now on I'm sure someone will pick up on it again. Changing styles and trying new thing's the way to keep evolving.
Good luck man! No reason to get rid of the old topic though, just start a new if the aim's been changed.
While I like to keep my old artwork, there is a chance that people who want to scout me are gonna look at my old artwork and maybe having a second thought. Like the guide says, if you have 2 great art but 18 shitty artwork, consider deleting it. Though, I can just put it in the sketch.
That's my philosophy at least, just strikes me I have no idea if there's a rule against have multiple personal art threads...
Always a shame to see content consistently deleted though. It all adds up.
On the wiki, they say that it better if put it in one thread so it not everywhere.
"Feel free to post your artwork in the forum to increase your chances of getting scouted and get feedback. However, keep all your pics in one thread, so that your work is not dispersed around the art forum."
While I like to keep it, it bit unorganized and the fact I can't delete my post makes it even worse. My newer artwork is on the second page, making it less noticeable.
Ah that's to know, maybe you could ask a mod to lock it and create the new one after that? Maybe they wouldn't like that though, maybe a lot of artists would have similar requests as their thread fills up... I don't know. Good reading on the rule though. :)
Regarding having old work around that's definitely true, I just feel like if the newer ones are on a whole other level then scouters will surely recognize the improvement. I know I do. It seems to be a problem more so with users who really don't make that good stuff, but just keep putting out more and more. If they occasionally do make one that's better than the rest it's lost in the flood, but with you it really seems like steady improvement.
There is always the option to simply unpublish old stuff and then bring it back once you HAVE been scouted too. :) Just be wary of that deletion button...
I have some deleted artwork before and I didn't know that you can undelete the artwork so that it can be handly. I do like to keep my old artwork to see some improvement in what progress I make.
Honestly, I prefer to do it myself than asking the mod. It like if the grown-up asking their mother if they want to have some cookies. Plus, the Art thread may come in handy, but as I say, it unorganized. I see what I can do about it.
Although, like unpublish old artwork, sure but bring it back once I been scouted is kinda defeating the point of the scout.
Like for example, you put the best painting on your booth and the guy asks you to be a part of the famous museum. You accept it. Then instantly, you started to put the worse painting you make years ago. Do people want to see it, well no. They want to see the greatest drawing you showcase before. If people like the style you showcase, continuing doing so until people are getting tired of it. That kinda how NG Art Portal works.
Well I haven't actually deleted anything myself, so best not take my word for it right away! XD So I hear, though. There might be an option to actually irrevocably delete something once it's been unpublished. Yupp, me too.
Alright. :) Regular users just don't have the power to do some things, but of course you can always post a similar final message.
Fair point, yeah, that makes sense. I wouldn't say you necessarily have to keep going with exactly the same style you had when you were first scouted though, a lot of artists reinvent themselves along the way - just stay true to the craft! That seems like the best intention.
I want to stay true to my style. I mostly do the dark anime style as it one of my favorites so far, but maybe I can expand to realistic looks very soon.
Sounds good. :)

Well that sucks. :/ How can you unscouted someone? Only mods have that power, but basically: https://ornery.newgrounds.com/news/post/388624
Maybe it was the guy who scouted you; maybe they didn't feel your work as on par with portal stuff... only way to know for sure is to reach out to a mod and ask. There's a list of them here (art mods): https://www.newgrounds.com/wiki/help-information/site-moderation
Hope you get back in again in time though!

I was scouted by that one person who scouted about thousand of the artist, most of them (no offensive) are mediocre (not bad but need a lot of improving) and I was one of them. I would like to get some feedback so I can stay on Art Portal longer. In most chance, I was pruned. I carefully read that guide once more and it could that my old artwork may be the cause of it. Honestly, I always changing my art style to see if it fit for me or not.
I can ask the mod as of why I was unscouted but I probably know the answer.
I see what I can do to get back to Art Portal. Probably get rid of my old art thread and start creating the Crique thread instead. Therefore, I can get the criticism that people give to me and improve from there.
