With endless scroll if I click on a link and go back to the portal it usually directs me to the very top of the page rather than whatever point I was on. Until they can fix that I'm all about pages
That always happened to me every time which can be annoying at time.
Pages, because endless scroll is annoying when you're trying to vote on art to go back and scroll down each time.
Pagination. I believe it's better for SEO, for bookmarks, for hardware (it's lighter on resources)... for pretty much everything. if it's built well you don't need to reload the entire page either, just the area of content the pagination refers to. Like you can do with reviews right now.
I really don't see any advantages to instant scroll at all for any type of content that spans more than a few pages, though a hybrid with endless scroll up til a certain point, where pagination starts showing, would work just as well. Endless scroll that's really endless though... there's no end. No overview. No functionality.
Pagination for me is better, it's easier to stop when you want, while with infinite scrolling you can waste much more of your time more easily at least for me
You like 8 months late but anyway, Pagination is easier since you know where you are.
